"this wasn't the best year"

“a lot of pain has certainly derived from this year, i can only hope that next one will not be as blue and yellow, but rather a landscape of pink and orange”

this song is a somewhat cathartic reminder of what this year has brought us; although it was hard, I personally felt more inspired than ever to finish my work and to make progress as a musician, and progress has been made.
if it's unclear, this "REMIX!" series is going to be a yearly thing, where I make a song that best represents how I feel at the end of that year, sampling my best sounds from that year's song, in a sense, it's almost like a "remix," just that it's a completely new song every time

the beautiful tones of my voice (wow, did I just type that?) from Restless lambs, lay and sleep inspired me to start this series; I felt like I had put in so much effort to make the beautiful vocals for that song, that they deserved at least one more feature somewhere; I hope to see you next year, and I hope it will be orange and pink like I wish :')
